Visa Thailand: Concerns visa for a period of 140 days

Dear editors,

Every year I go to spend the winter in Thailand for about 3 to 4 months at a permanent place in Krabi. At the beginning of this year I had a Multiple entry Non Immigrant type O visa that allowed me to stay with an intermediate visa run from January to April. This has expired before my next departure so I have to apply for a new visa. The visa run on this type of visa is no longer possible due to the expiry of the Multiple entries.

With a Non immigrant type O, single entry I can stay for 90 days, but how do I deal with the remaining 50 days I want to stay? Although I do have a Thai bank account, an extension to an annual visa is not an option for me because I don't want to put TBH 800.000 in a Thai bank account.

You write "The visa run on this type of visa is no longer possible due to the expiry of the Multiple entries." That is not correct

The Non-immigrant “O” Multiple entry still exists and you can still apply for it in the Netherlands. The only difference now is that you can only apply for the Non-immigrant “O” Multiple entry at the Thai Embassy in The Hague and no longer at the Thai Consulate in Amsterdam. You can only obtain single entry visas at the Thai Consulate in Amsterdam. For multiple entry visas you have to go to the embassy in The Hague. For the rest, nothing has changed at all.

So you can still stay in Thailand in the same way as before. Only you will have to go to The Hague instead of Amsterdam for your visa.
