Thailand visa question & answer: USD 25.000 at Citibank in Bangkok, accepted for visa?
Dear editors,
For a retirement visa I have an amount of 25.000 USD (more than 800.00 baht) in a Citibank in Bangkok. This amount has been on the account for more than three months.
Will this Citibank be allowed when applying for a visa?

Dear Ron,
Are you talking about applying for a Non-immigrant visa or about an annual extension based on “retirement”, because they are all sometimes called “retirement visa”?
In the first case, it is best to contact the embassy, but they normally accept this.
If it concerns an extension, it is best to ask the question to the local immigration office. It depends on the local immigration office. One office is easy about this, the other strict. Only your immigration office can give a definitive answer to that. So please visit if it concerns an extension.
