Dear editors,

Is the 90-day notification and/or annual renewal visa linked to the place where you live as a Dutch citizen? We temporarily have a rental home in Chiang Mai and are renovating our new home in Hat Yai.

The first year in Chiang Mai I did the annual extension and the 90-day notification at the immigration service in Chiang Mai. Question: Next week we are going to Hat Yai to see how the renovation of our house is progressing. Next month I also have to report to the immigration service for the 90-day extension.
Can this be done near Hat Yai (e.g. Sadao) (address Hat Yai) or do I just have to go to the immigration service in Chiang Mai (address CM rental)?

Please advise on this.

Thank you all.

Wim

Dear Wim,

Your last known address for immigration is Chiang Mai, and then you must also report your 90 days there, or apply for your year extension.

Of course you can also change your address. No one is obliged to live forever and ever at a given address. So you could report your 90 days in Hat Yai, and later also request your year extension, but then you have to officially report your change of address.
This can be done with the form TM28 – Form for aliens to notify their change of address or their stay in the province for over 24 hours.

Immigration for Hat Yai can be found at this address:
99 Moo 3
Amphoe Khlong Hi Khong
Changwat Song Khla
