Questioner: Frank

A TM30 question. I have read that in some provinces you no longer have to be reported when you return to your home address. We live in Nakhon Ratchasima province and are going to Bangkok for a few days.

Does my wife have to register me again when we get home or is that off the track these days. I try to call the immigration in Korat but the connection keeps getting cut off after a few rings.

Thanks in advance for your answer

The immigration offices normally no longer require this if you travel within Thailand and then return to your permanent address. Usually only if you return from abroad and in some cases not even if you also return to your permanent address.

You can ask them, but then it still depends on who you meet there and who will say yes so as not to answer anything wrong.
