Questioner: Fund

I have been trying for a while to apply for a tourist visa (longer than 30 days) at the embassy in The Hague. Every time (for more than one or two weeks) I get the message that there is a technical malfunction. Have you heard this from several people and/or is something known to you?

Reaction RonnyLatYa

Nothing heard about.

For your information. The link to apply for the visa Official Website of Thailand Electronic Visa (thaievisa.go.th) is general and not specific to the Thai Embassy in The Hague.

Perhaps readers will have more information about that malfunction.

The mentioned link at https://hague.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/applying-for-visas-with-the-royal-thai-embassy-the-hague is wrong. This has to be: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/

There is nothing wrong with that link.

      2. From November 22, 2021, all visa applications must be done through the new e-Visa System at https://thaievisa.go.th which has replaced the in-person visa application service previously provided by the Embassy.

Just on https://thaievisa.go.th/ click and that is exactly the same link as you report yourself.
www. shouldn't have been used in a link for ages.

The well-known problems: do you have the latest supported operating system on your computer or laptop, is it the latest version of your web browser, try a different web browser (eg Chrome instead of Firefox). In other words, is your computer up-to-date?

    Good luck with applications!

      Could be things like that

        Good info.
Keep in mind that the web browsers that are recommended are already very dated. Firefox is already on version 102 while version 65 is recommended. It would not be my advice given the many security vulnerabilities that have already been fixed. They also don't sit still in Thailand to implement the latest versions of development tools. Therefore: always keep the web browser as much as possible o the most recent version on your computer.

It also says “….or higher version” which means that it must be at least that version or higher
