Questioner: Eric H

Every day I read Thailand blog but situations / laws and regulations change regularly. I want to stop working a year and a half earlier now that the new RVU (early retirement scheme) has been introduced. In addition, I take half a year of leave/holiday, so I stop working 2 years earlier. As soon as I go on vacation/leave I want to emigrate to Thailand.

I know what income requirements you have to meet, but I will still receive a salary in those six months. Then pension and money from the RVU scheme.

What amount of income do I have to declare to be eligible for my marriage (retirement) visa because I first receive half a year's salary and only then receive a benefit?

There is no such thing as a marriage (retirement).

It is Thai Marriage or Retirement and you must meet the requirements of your choice.

But in itself it does not really matter where your income as a Thai marriage comes from. Not everyone who is married is therefore “retired”. It only leaves you the choice if you are both.
