Thailand Visa Question No. 156/22: Tourist eVisa

Previously I always went to Thailand for 4 or 5 months in the winter months and took a visa for half a year. Last winter I did it with a tourist visa for 60 days and extended it with 30 days. Now I would like to go again in November for 4 months so 120 days what is the best thing to do, can someone give advice on that? 800 thousand baht in a bank account is not an option for me.

Since June 1, the land borders with neighboring countries would be open again. You can then do just like before and take that 6 month visa. That is the METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa). Then you also had to perform Borderruns, because there is no Tourist visa that allows you to stay in Thailand for 6 months without interruption.

With a Borderrun after 60 days to one of the neighboring countries, you will then obtain a new residence period of 60 days. Perhaps this is enough to bridge your stay, or you can extend those 60 days by another 30 days if that is not enough, or make another border run and you will get another 60 days.

But you will know that from before. The system remains the same.

You do have to take into account that with Borderruns the other countries can also have their conditions in connection with vaccinations, insurance, or whatever. Just like Thailand can have when coming back

I cannot predict what they will be at that time. At that point, you should check it out for yourself.

You can also take an ordinary tourist visa. You get 60 days, which you can extend by 30 days like you did last winter. You could then make another Borderrun and come back on Visa Exemption. You get 30 days and you could also extend it by 30 days. More than enough to bridge 120 days.
