Questioner: Hugo

On October 18, '24 I will leave for Thailand, from there I will go to Bali with my Thai girlfriend from 23/10 to 31/10. After that I would stay in Thailand until January 10, '25.

Should I apply for a multiple entry visa for 60 days and then extend it for 30 days at an immigration office?

Buying a Multiple Entry Tourist visa (175 Euro) seems like a pointless expense to me in this case. You can also work with a combination of Visa Exemption (free) and Tourist Visa Single entry (35 Euro).

During your first period (October 18 - October 23) you will enter on Visa exemption (do not show your Tourist visa upon entry at immigration). You will then receive 30 days, which is more than sufficient for that period.

You will then use that Tourist visa for your next entry on October 31. You then obtain 60 days, which you can extend by 30 days (1900 Baht) at immigration.

But if you still want to apply for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, no problem, it is your decision of course.
