Questioner: John
Subject: Visa exemption

Can you still get a tourist visa by land and sea in Ranong? Have already been given 30 days by traveling overland to Laos and are now leaving for Ranong for extension via Myanmar. Need copy of passport and new 10 dollar bill.

Do you get a 30 day visa for the second time?

Thanks in advance

What you call a 30 day visa or tourist visa is actually a “Visa exemption” ie 30 day visa exemption..

This is possible by entering through border posts by land/sea up to 2 times per calendar year. If you want multiple “Visa Exemptions,” you can, but you must enter through an international airport.
