Questioner: Gijsbert

I have another question about the validity of my passport. My passport expires on July 24, 2024. My Non-immigrant O visa expires on January 30, 2024. So on that date, my passport is six days overdue by the Thai government.

What's the best thing to do?

Actually I don't understand your question, what do you want? Visa is a NON O, that's clear. Passport: expires on 24 07 2024. (obviously)

Visa expiry date: 30 01 2024 so latest date of use. (clearly)

Q: When do you want to leave? Are you going to leave on the last day of validity? If yes, then you will not have a problem with the requirements of the Thai government, but you will have a problem with the airline as 'THEY' demand a passport validity of at least 6 months and then you are 7 days short. So risk: not on the plane.

Best thing you can do: In any case: apply for a new passport before departure. You will, by the way, in Thailand, if you want to stay longer than the 90d residence period, which you will receive upon entry to Thailand with that Non O visa, you will not be able to obtain an extension from the immigration service longer than your passport is valid. . And you will eventually have to apply for a new one anyway. What role do those few months earlier play?
