Questioner: Pepe

Next week we have to make a visa trip. In the past we always went to Andaman club in Ranong. All borders are closed due to the unrest in Myanmar. Recently I read that there would be talks about reopening the borders. However, I never read that that happened again.

Can someone tell me if the border through the Andaman Club in Ranong is now open again?

As far as I know the land borders with Myanmar are still closed for borderrun. But if there are readers who know that borders are open again, they can always let us know.

Keep an eye on.

It is not because borders are open that a borderuns is therefore possible. Borders often open earlier or remain open to the local population in order to allow trade between the two countries to continue.

had to make a visa run from Phuket last week, normally to Ranong and cross the street and at the well-known offices I was told that Myanmar was still completely closed
can only be done via Malaysia and Laos

    Dear Pepe,
ALL border crossings with Myanmar are still CLOSED for non-Thai or Myanmar citizens. See the article above and read it carefully.
So if you stay in the area of Ranong, the shortest time will be at :Malaisia for a border run. But there are plenty of options for that.
