Those who want to travel very cheaply from Suvarnabhumi to the old center of Bangkok can opt for a new air-conditioned shuttle bus that costs only 60 baht from Thursday.

The new bus with number S1 runs from Suvarnabhumi to Khao San Road and Sanam Luang, among others. You can board at the airport at Gate 7 on the first floor of the passenger terminal. The bus departs every half hour and runs from 06:00-20:00

A shuttle service was also launched a few weeks ago for two routes from Don Mueang Airport to Sanam Luang and Lumpini park.

I think this will be a success.

Will also be used by tourists/people who need to be in other parts of Bangkok.

Just to Kao San road with the shuttle bus and then with a taxi to another part.

With a bit of luck you can be in Sukhumvit road or Silom Road for about 300 Baht.

Let the locale make good use of it.
More often hear that tourists go to bkk by train
And then the subway or taxi.
What a poverty for 5 Euro difference in that heat

I prefer the taxi from Suvarnabhumi to be dropped off at the door of my hotel in Bangkok for about 10 euros. At the same time, I can practice my limited knowledge of the Thai language with the driver, I don't have to board an overcrowded train from the Airportlink or wait for a shuttle bus and then start lugging my luggage again. But in the end everyone makes their own choice!

Are the costs from international airport to Bangkok (eg China town) around 10 euros? That is still to be done! I have to get to Bangkok around 11:20.30pm on July XNUMXth after a long flight. Then a taxi is the best…

That's right Sandra, for less than 10 euros – I have never paid more from the airport to the heart of the city – you can reach your hotel in Bangkok by taxi tens of kms away. Saves a lot of lugging and hassle, for an amount for which you are hardly allowed to board a Dutch taxi.

That bus will probably not go faster than the Skytrain-BTS-BTS-Chao Pray river bus route during rush hour.

Without luggage, the AIRPORT-LINK & SKYTRAIN & RIVERBOAT is a pleasant journey.
With luggage, this new bus connection seems to me to be straight to the Kao San Rd. definitely recommended and definitely not slower, not even during rush hour.
