Hooters Restaurant is coming to Pattaya
As if there aren't enough bars, clubs and restaurants in Pattaya already, the American Hooters has decided to open a Hooters Club/Restaurant. There are Hooters branches in many countries around the world, in Thailand Hooters is already present in Bangkok and Phuket and after Pattaya, Koh Samui will also be next.
The location will be on Beach Road and the announced opening should be in August. I doubt the latter, because I've driven past it a few times and I don't think they're halfway there yet.
Hooters Pattaya will be able to accommodate 565 guests and with 50 HD televisions it should also become a serious competitor to the already many sports bars in the city.
The attraction of Hooters elsewhere in the world is the dozens of waitresses in their traditional Hooters uniform of orange and white. For the Hooters organization, Pattaya will also be a new experience, because the clothing may seem sexy, in Pattaya we see ladies just walking on the street, who are scantily dressed.
Anyway, we'll be happy to take a look after it opens. Perhaps there are blog readers who already know Hooters from Bangkok, Phuket or elsewhere. We would love to hear their experiences!

I have been living in Thailand for a few years and I also wonder if they will have the same success as their US colleagues... I personally know hooters from my numerous family visits in Miami where we regularly visit this business... and I must say that we always have a pleasant time there. spend hours and the waitresses seem very friendly and intelligent.
Most bar girls here are also friendly but there is always that different approach to farang if you understand me !?

Ronny: If I read correctly, the girls in Northern Thailand are recruited with the information that they - unlike the bar girls - are not allowed to get intimate with farang and must limit themselves exclusively to their work for Hooters. If they come across as friendly and personable to Hooters guests, it means nothing.
According to The BigChilli magazine, there will even be 3 Hooters branches in Bangkok. The first will open as early as August at Four Ponts by Sheraton Sukhumvit 15 hotel, the other two are planned at Soi 22 and Soi 33
Whether hooters will be a success in budget paradise Pattaya, I don't think so, where does the whole hooters concept revolve around hot women in tight packages who serve you a careful dance, but especially not more than that and certainly not naked!
And then you come to sleezy Pattaya with whores as far as the eye can see, massage parlors (with happy ending), strip clubs and streets full of bars and pubs that seem to never end 95% filled with ladies of easy virtue. And then all that fun for the average Pattaya goer should also cost almost nothing.
And that's where it goes wrong, no bare tits and a very expensive American concept, why would I pay 150 BTH for a coke at Hooters, for example, if it only costs 50 BTH at the neighbors and 100 BTH at the A Go Go and that's where I get it plus a real show for free with all the trimmings.
But the hot chicken wings from the BBQ are very tasty there!
