Hidden Treasures in Thailand

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has devised plans to bring the lesser-known areas of Thailand more to the attention of the travel industry. For example, the TAT has designated a number of areas that are worth visiting for their well-preserved culture, fantastic nature reserves and historical values.

The TAT mainly wants to appeal to tourists who want more than just sun, sea and sand. Local authorities must therefore prepare for more tourists and offer the necessary facilities for this, such as infrastructure, accommodations, parking facilities for coaches, etc. In addition, there must be sufficient restaurants and souvenir shops.

Some areas do not yet have sufficient capacity and, moreover, do not yet have sufficient confidence in a larger and longer-lasting flow of tourists. An example of this is Lampang. If there is sufficient evidence for the arrival of more tourists, investors will certainly be willing to build new hotels. Lampang now only has 2300 hotel rooms available.

Loei showed a slight decline due to insufficient overnight capacity, but remained in the interest of the Japanese and Chinese.

Another emerging area is the province of Nan with the capital of the same name, Nan. The opening of the borders with Laos and China has increased tourism. The old heart of the city with Wat Ming Mueang, the national museum and other tourist attractions give an extra boost to tourism. Tucked away in the northeast corner of Thailand, 668 kilometers north of Bangkok, Nan is known for its natural beauty and various hill tribes such as the Mien and Hmong. But also because of the long history, even as an independent kingdom, that the area knows and parts of the old city that still indicate this, such as parts of walls and old Wats dating from the Lanna period.

Nan is one of twelve projects that the TAT is developing to further promote Thailand's hidden treasures.

The TAT has been doing well lately. Thailand is idd more than just sun, sea and beach. Much more even.
There is so much beauty to see that almost no tourist has seen. I think promoting it will attract more tourists.
More and more people in the world want more than the standard tune of the major tour operators.
