Bangkok in top five most visited tourist cities

With more than 16 million tourists, Bangkok ranks fourth in the top five most visited cities in the world. Hong Kong is the most visited with more than 27 million tourists in 2014, according to figures from Euromonitor International.

Hong Kong is followed by London and this English metropolis saw the number of visitors increase by 2014 percent in 2013 compared to 3,6 to 17,3 million. The third place is for Singapore. In 2013, the city received 17,1 million visitors. In 2014, this number fell slightly by 0,3 percent to seventeen million.

Other cities in the top ten are Paris, Macau, Shenzhen, New York, Istanbul and Kuala Lumpur. Amsterdam is in 5,7th place with 27 million visitors.
