143 tourist attractions in 30 provinces are affected by the floods, resulting in a loss of income of 10 billion baht (430 million euros), the Ministry of Tourism and Sports has calculated.

In Ayutthaya, important historical sites are under water; attractions in other provinces are also inaccessible to tourists. The most important are Koh Kret in Nonthaburi, the Kao Hong market in Bang Pla Ma (Suphan Buri) and the Portuguese village in Ayutthaya.

The Ministry has decided the planned marketing campaign Miracle Thailand, which was to run from November 2011 to early 2012.
