Dear readers,

I would like to experience the Full Moon Party but the problem is that I get seasick very easily and therefore prefer not to go to the island by boat.

Now I know they were working on making it an airport. Does anyone here know what's going on with that. Is this almost finished?

Greetings,

Marjoram

Hi, I found this on the internet.

If everything goes according to plan – and it probably won't – Koh Phangan Airport will open at the end of 2017. Good news for fans of the Full Moon Party.

If the airport opens at the end of 2017, it will not go according to plan.

If you go via Koh Samui it is less than a 20 minute boat ride to Koh Phangan. A pill against motion sickness and before you know it you're there.
Lying flat is also an option.

Have fun at the fool moon

Nice pun, and yes fool moon does indeed seem more applicable than full moon party!

Won't happen again because they found out that pieces of land where the airport would be built, were bought illegally and also belong to the national park. An investigation is now underway into how this could have happened.

So no airport for the time being, fortunately

If you type at YouTube Koh Phangan airport, several videos have been made with a drone that you can choose from. The last of July 2017 from a nice sand plain. The owner ßvan Kan airways that is building usually has financial problems, so I don't see an airport coming soon.

There are problems and there is no indication that those problems will be solved soon.

Sincerely hope that there will never be an airport , one of the few islands where the masses of tourists are not unloaded like a kind of cattle .

We always take the Raja ferry from Suratthani. A large boat that also holds many (freight) cars. never had a problem with rocking. Even a cup of coffee can stand still. The advantage is that you do not have to book in advance. We prefer to travel from Suratthani to Chumphon because of this ferry.
