S originated in the 13th century and was the first Thai kingdom. Sukhothai is also the founder of the Thai alphabet and language. Sukhothai is located 430 km north of Bangkok and consists of a new and old city. In the new city you will mainly find the accommodations, while the Historical Park is located in the old city. This beautiful Historical Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must when visiting Thailand.

The Province Loei borders Laos in the north, from the capital Bangkok you can be there within an hour with a domestic flight. Loei belongs to the region also called Isaan. Agriculture is the main economic activity in this region.

Visit the lively provincial capital Phitsanulok, 377 kilometers north of Bangkok. The city has many historically interesting sights.

Phetchabun is a province in the north of Thailand and is located about 346 kilometers from Bangkok. The province is especially popular for its relatively cool climate and clean air. Phetchabun is also called the 'Thai Alps' or 'Little Switzerland' because of its mountainous area.
