Making a difference – Panyee FC
A nice video that you should definitely watch. The special thing is that this film is based on a true Thai story.
It is made by TMB (Thai Military Bank) to introduce a new brand. The theme surrounding the brand is “making a difference”. The short film should inspire people to think differently. This allows them to make a difference, also in their own world. It can contribute to positive change.
The true story goes back to 1986. In the south of Thailand near an island “Koh Panyee” there was a floating village at sea. The local youth loved football but they had nowhere to play and play football themselves. The children did not accept that. They came up with a creative solution that enabled them to realize their dream. This is how they made the difference. This has made them a source of inspiration for new generations on the island.

It also tells the positive things about Thailand. A country where anything is possible.
I still have the feeling that it is advertising from Thai Military Bank. A society where the military are such a power factor towards their own citizens, where they control the economy and their own bank. But that is of course very dark of me and viewed with my Western eyes. Doesn't make the video any less beautiful and true though.
