The summer edition of BNN's popular travel programme, 3 op travel, among other things, pay attention to Thailand.

Dennis went to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. The text on the BNN website:

Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are very popular with tourists. Despite the crowds, it is still very good to stay on these three beautiful islands. Because the islands have temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius almost all year round, you can always stay there.

Koh Tao is also called turtle island. Not only because several endangered turtle species live here, but also because the shape of the island resembles a turtle. Koh Tao is also known as a diving island, but there is also other adventure to be found on the island. Such as cliff jumping, abseiling or climbing.

Koh Samui is larger than Koh Tao and is best known for its beautiful beaches. The third island of Koh Phangan is best known for the full moon parties that are held here and is therefore especially popular among backpackers.

Eating & going out

There are some good restaurants on Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. You don't have to expect Michelin stars here, but that is not at all necessary with the vibe that prevails on these islands. On Koh Samui you will find very nice restaurants such as at Chaweng Beach and Zazen. All fine restaurants on the beach. We have this overview for the top 10 restaurants on the island! On Koh Phangan, Melati and Decor are 'to die for', top restaurants and of course also directly on the beach.

On Koh Tao the restaurants are slightly less good and the choice is somewhat more limited, but you can still eat well here. For example, you can eat very fine fish at Barracuda. This is also the right place if you are a vegetarian. Another top restaurant on Koh Tao is Taste of Home. Hostess Uschi not only serves you a delicious meal, but also ensures a very pleasant evening. Incidentally, you are in the right place when it comes to fish meals on all three islands.

The nightlife on the islands is one of the biggest attractions. Our favorite was the Lotus Bar on Koh Tao. In addition to delicious cocktails, you will also find a laughing gas bar here where you can indulge yourself!

The broadcasts can be viewed again on broadcasting gemist.nl. The video below is the first episode:

Is this that ugly broadcast in which BNN more or less promotes drug use on Koh Phangan, I wonder how much money this has made for the police.

A so-called full moon party specialist was then also performed who talked about mushroom mountain as if the police did not know about its existence, how stupid can you be.
He also said that because Koh Phangan is far from a big city, the police turn a blind eye, which is why they earn so much during the party.

Was a comedy for me that broadcast.

Moderator: Maybe it's good to watch the video first and then write a comment?

    Dear moderator,

I ask if it concerns that broadcast, because I have once seen a broadcast of BNN about KPN, unfortunately my internet speed is not such that streaming videos on Koh Phangan is smooth.

You could have answered the question, but unfortunately you didn't, too bad.

Moderator: It's not the broadcast you're referring to. That was an item of the BNN program 'Spuiten en Swallow'. This is a video of '3 op Reis', a travel program from BNN.
