Thailand is of course the country with a huge coastline, tropical islands and the associated impressive beaches. In this article we pick out five that absolutely appeal to the imagination: they are beaches to dream away. Can you already see yourself sitting on your beach bed in the pearly white sand and with a tropical cocktail in your hand, enjoying the sound of the sea and the warm rays of the sun caressing your body?

Thailand is known as a holiday destination with the most beautiful beaches in the world. But with so much choice and different types of beaches, it is not easy to choose just one. Do you want to get inspired? Here come five dazzling beaches:

1. Sairee Beach on Koh Tao
Koh Tao is a well-known diving and snorkelling paradise. The beaches Haad Sai Nuan and Freedom Beach are nice and quiet. If you want more entertainment then the famous Sairee Beach is recommended. It is a narrow strip with the sea on both sides where you can relax and enjoy a fairytale underwater world.

Kantiang Bay on Koh Lanta

2. Kantiang Bay on Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta on the west coast of Thailand has several wonderful beaches that all have a different character. Long Beach is the most popular and therefore busier. Quiet beaches can be found in the south of Koh Lanta. Kantiang Bay is really top: a white beach located in a beautiful bay with clear blue water and green hills as a backdrop.

Phra Nang Beach

3. Phra Nang Beach in Krabi
The province of Krabi and the south of Thailand on the Andaman Sea is home to more than 130 islands. The beautiful national parks and pristine beaches are interspersed with jagged rock formations of lush limestone. Railay Beach is Krabi's most famous beach, located in a beautiful bay fringed by jagged mountains. Not far from Railay Beach is Phra Nang Beach, which is even more beautiful, with huge cliffs rising from the water. It is very nice to rent a kayak here and discover the most beautiful bays yourself.

4. Bang Bao Bay on Koh Kood
Koh Kood is an island in Trat Province in the Gulf of Thailand, bordering Cambodia. Koh Kood is located about 350 km southeast of the capital Bangkok. The island is a popular place for peace seekers, beach lovers and families. The atmosphere here is very relaxed, it is not that busy and there are plenty of beautiful beaches to explore. Bang Bao Bay beach is perhaps the most beautiful in all of Koh Kood. The water here is clear blue and as calm as a lake, the beach is lined with palm trees and you can swim here.

Ang Thong National Marine Park near Koh Samui

5. Ang Thong National Marine Park near Koh Samui
Ang Thong (Mu Koh Angthong National Marine) is a national park located 31 km northwest of Koh Samui. The protected area covers an area of 102 km² and consists of 42 islands. The limestone rocks on the islands are lush. There are swaying palms on the white beaches, the islands are surrounded by coral reefs. The color of the sea water is clear turquoise. A tropical paradise. If you are lucky, you can even see dolphins, because at the end of the year dolphins seek shelter in the waters near Ang Thong.

You will have it at home in Kantiang Bay in those beautiful green hills 🙂
Personally, I think the beaches a little further south are even more beautiful, at Klong Jark bungalows, for example.
