Thailand in Belgium and the Netherlands

There is much, much to tell about Thailand. That's what we do on Thailandblog.nl with all kinds of information about this beautiful country. The readership consists of people who (regularly) visit Thailand, live there or are simply interested in everything to do with Thailand.

The postings are usually about things or events in Thailand itself, but there are also regular events in the Netherlands and Belgium in which Thailand plays a (main) role. It is almost impossible for us to announce all those events on Thailandblog.nl.

That's why it's so nice that since last year there has been a weblog for Belgian Thailand enthusiasts: thailandinbelgium.blogspot.com This weblog is managed by one Marc (he does not give more details), who writes the following by way of introduction:

“I got to know Thai culture in Belgium, I was so fascinated by it that I started a weblog to bring Thailand closer to the people. I am mainly concerned with collecting and sharing Thai events, Thai festivals, Thai parties, events in Thai temples and everything else that has to do with Thailand. I also take a lot of photos of events and make videos, which I post to the Thailand group on Facebook and on YouTube, so that many people can enjoy what Thailand has to offer in Belgium.”

Of course we took a look at his weblog and Marc is not limited to Belgium, because events in the Netherlands are also mentioned. There are now events in Arnhem, Halle, Nistelrode, Mechelen and Purmerend.

What is not yet on it, but that is still a bit too early, is the upcoming Thai market in Bruges on May 24, which will be organized for the fourth time.

Highly recommended, in addition to Thailandblog.nl, check that weblog every now and then, where you can also register to be regularly informed.

Not only on Marc's blog (I know him very well) you can read all kinds of announcements about Thai events taking place in Belgium or the Netherlands, but also in the Newsletter of Thaivlac vzw (non-profit association). Their digital (PDF) newsletter is sent free of charge every month to more than 1.000 recipients in Belgium, the Netherlands and Thailand (expats). The newsletter also contains all kinds of reports about Thai parties and festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands. Associations planning a Thai party can also have this announced free of charge in this newsletter, together with their poster. All kinds of articles about Thailand are also placed in it.

Are you interested in receiving this newsletter? Send an email with your email address to [email protected] marked “Newsletter”. The e-mail addresses are not passed on to third parties, so you don't have to worry about receiving spam.

That's very nice to know. I will visit your page immediately as I am co-organizer of the event in Halle on March 28. I hope for an honest and efficient collaboration.

The event in Halle on March 28, 2015 was announced on page 15, article 17, in the Thaivlac newsletter of March 2015. It will be mentioned again in the April 2015 newsletter that will be sent out soon (i.e. before March 25).
