Contrary to what the name suggests is 'Siam square' not a square, but a more rectangular area in the center of Bankk. It is located opposite the famous shopping mall 'Siam Paragon'. The 'square' is easily accessible as you only have to take another exit at the Siam skytrain station.

Siam Square is a well-known youth hangout in Bangkok. There are therefore many brand stores, designer clothing stores, further education institutes, cafes, restaurants and bookstores, which makes it a lively area. After school and on weekends you will find many students from Chulalongkorn University, among others. Just stroll through the narrow streets where a variety of small nice shops are located.

In addition to shops, Siam Square has many restaurants and two legendary cinemas: Scala and Lido, which were built in 1976 and 1970 respectively. Scala is Bangkok's oldest single screen cinema.
