The port of Khao Takiab at Hua Hin is a lively place where the fish is brought ashore and you can even taste it fresh daily in the many restaurants at the harbor.

Khao Takiab (Chopstick Hill) is notable for the large standing Buddha at the foot of the hill. At the top you will find a temple and lots of monkeys walking among the visitors. You can enjoy a spectacular view of the coastline. A little further south you will find the Khao Tao (Turtle Hill) and the Tam Khao Tao (Turtle Hill Cave). At the top of these hills you will find numerous shrines and an imposing Buddha.

At Khao Takiab you can also find the jetty where the ferry to and from Pattaya departs. This crossing is safe and comfortable if the sea is not too rough.

We visited the monkeys; unfortunately didn't eat anything at the harbor then. Missed opportunity.. Hua Inn was definitely nice and cozy! The pier with the restaurants is also nice,.. Beautiful memories ✌️

    Dear,
you talk about the ferry to pattaya. I would have loved to do that on a next visit.
But haven't I read somewhere that it will be taken out of service and that this will stop?
    Does anyone know this?

The ferry to and from Pattaya has not operated for more than a year.
