Ganesha Park in Nakhon Nayok
The cultural and tourist attraction 'it Ganesh Park' in Nakhon Nayok province is worth a visit. Thais in particular are interested in this park, because of the large cult statue of Ganesha. In the park you will find two more large Ganeshas. The park is considered one of the holy places in Thailand that stems from the power of faith.
Besides the largest Ganesha in the country, you can also visit the Ganesha Museum with statues of Rua Si Ling Dam in 108 different poses. Many Thai believe that worshiping the Ganesha brings good luck and prosperity. That is striking because Genesha comes from Hinduism and not from Buddhism.
Ganesha (also called Ganesh, Ganapati Tantra, Ekadanta or Vinayaka) is the deva with the elephant head in the pantheon of Hinduism. He is the god of knowledge and wisdom, removes obstacles and is the patron saint of travelers. His vahana, vehicle, is a mouse or rat named Mashika. The Hindus pray to Ganesha before starting something new, such as a new job or when they move house. Ganesha is the son of the god Shiva and the goddess Parvati, who together in the cosmogony of Hinduism symbolize the unity of everything.
