A few years ago, tourists listed the 10 most beautiful destinations on the popular travel website Tripadvisor Thailand appointed. If this survey is held now, I don't expect many shifts, hence the 10 most beautiful destinations according to travelers again.

The 10 most beautiful destinations in Thailand are:

  1. Chiang Mai
  2. Koh Phi Phi Don
  3. Koh Tao
  4. Koh Phangan
  5. Bangkok
  6. Krabi
  7. Pattaya
  8. Phuket
  9. Hua Hin
  10. Koh Samui

1.Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai in the North of Thailand is a city where you can taste the atmosphere of authentic Thailand. The inhabitants are relaxed and very friendly. In Chiang Mai, spend your time at one of the historical sites or while enjoying something tasty from a street food stall. Maybe you can also watch bathing elephants and you can even feed them! There are several elephant camps that all catch your attention. According to travelers, Chiang Mai is also a good place to take a cooking class.

Tip: visit the Elephant Nature Park, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.

2. Koh Phi Phi Don

Most of the limestone island of Koh Pho Pho Don is a protected nature reserve. That means you can enjoy unspoilt beaches and spectacular marine life while diving and snorkeling. Several local dive schools receive excellent reviews from travelers. When you're back on dry land, relax with a yoga session on the beach.

Tip: also visit Koh Phi Phi Le, Ao Ton Sai and Blue View Divers.

3. Koh Tao

The name of the palm-fringed island of Koh Tao, in the Gulf of Thailand, is derived from the many sea turtles that live on its beaches. White sandy beaches sheltered by steep slopes (some of which are only accessible by four-wheel drive vehicles) and the 300 days of sunshine a year invite long afternoons of idleness. Scuba diving and snorkelling is great here and can even lead to unexpected encounters with blackfin reef sharks, an abundance of tropical fish or a wooden shipwreck. Bustling Sairee Beach is bursting with bars and nightclubs, while the palm-fringed Haad Thien (or Rock Bay) offers peaceful surroundings and relaxation.

Tip: also visit Ao Tanote, Scuba Junction and Thian Og Bay.

4. Koh phangan

Boredom is unlikely to bother them in Koh Phangan, as thousands of young people take part in the nightly activities of the Full Moon Party every month during the full moon. During the day it is a lovely island with coconut palms and countless white beaches. If you are a diver, you must visit Sailrock for a spectacular dive from the wall.

Tip: also visit Salad Beach, Thong Nai Pan Noi and Koh Nang Yuan.

5.Bangkok

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is full of beautifully decorated Buddhist temples. As you visit one after the other you will be constantly impressed by the craftsmanship and elaborate detail. But even if you prefer to find relief in a fine meal or dance the night away, you will enjoy Bangkok, which is home to some of the best restaurants and nightclubs in the world.

Tip: also visit The Grand Palace, Jim Thompson House and Chinatown.

6. Crabi

The city of Krabi in the south of Thailand is the base to discover the province of Krabi. It is a region of tropical forests, limestone cliffs and idyllic islands just offshore in the Andaman Sea. Buddhist temples still used by the local monks are hidden in the caves of the city's top attraction, the Tiger Cave. From the pier in the river, tourists are taken by ferry and sloops to the best diving spots, climbing rocks and white sand beaches on the coast.

Tip: also visit Phra Nang Beach, Hong Islands and Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua).

7.Pattaya

Located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya is visited by millions of tourists every year. The family-friendly Jomtien Beach is a pleasant contrast to the busy Pattaya Beach, overloaded with many jet skis and beach bars. A day trip to the nearby archipelagos is a welcome distraction. Just like spending a day on one of Pattaya's twenty-one golf courses or in a dazzling theme park. Although more and more families are coming to the city, most tourists go to Pattaya for its legendary nightlife. The Baht buses are convenient, cheap and cover the main roads.

Tip: also visit Flight of the Gibbon, Khao Kheow Open Zoo and Sanctuary of Truth (Prasat Sut Ja-Tum).

8. Phuket–Patong

Revelers flock to the wide and jagged beach of Patong on Phuket. Just minutes away from the sparkling chaos of Patong's many nightclubs, pubs and discotheques, the golden beach is ideal for sunbathing, jet skiing, kayaking and parasailing. Tourists looking for relaxation can spend the day on a sun lounger under a colorful parasol.

Tip: also visit Freedom Beach and Bangla Road.

9. Hua Hin

Hua Hin is a lovely coastal town and a favorite getaway for the wealthy from Bangkok. It is family-friendly and relaxed here. Especially since the nightlife is limited. Hua Hin was once a small fishing village before it was transformed into a royal resort. The close ties with the Thai royal family ensure that this place will not become very busy or lose that wonderful atmosphere that belongs to a village.

Tip: also visit Hua Hin Hills Vineyard and Suan Son Pradipat Beach.

10. Koh Samui – Boput

Bophut on Koh Samui is a beach village where many new hotels and villas are being built. The village is becoming increasingly popular for its pristine white coastline, swaying coconut palms and traditional Sino-Thai community. In Fisherman's Village located on the east side, you will find unspoilt quaint wooden shops and old buildings. The main street is lined with cafes, eateries, spas and trendy shops. Manicures, pedicures and Thai massages are an inexpensive attraction for many visitors, as is the enchanting sunset.
