The mountains of Pattaya
What many people don't know is that you are in Pattaya you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views. And only a ten minute drive from the Walking Street.
Most people immediately think of the Buddha Hill. That is indeed true, but there is another viewpoint just a hundred meters from here. You can climb a small mountain here, called Pattaya Hill (Khao Phra Bat).
Pattaya Hill is a viewpoint with a beautiful view over the curved bay of Pattaya. Both during the day and in the evening hours you can take beautiful photos and videos. At the top of the hill is a statue of HRH Prince of Jumborn, the father of the Royal Thai Navy. The transmitter mast of the radio station RTN Broadcasting (FM 104.75 Mhz) towers high above the highness.
Many Thai come here to pay tribute to the statue and the temple a little further away. You can also buy some food and drinks at a few stalls and browse the nice souvenirs in the shop of the Royal Thai Navy.
Buddhahill
A hundred meters from this place is the Buddha Hill. Follow the signs for 'Big Buddha', drive or walk up the steep hill and you will come to a beautiful complex with a magnificent statue of Buddha - the largest in Chon Buri. In addition to this Buddha, you can also view other Buddhist matters here and visit the Chinese temple, which can also be found here.
So if you are in Pattaya and want to leave the crowds behind for once, then a visit to these two hills is definitely worth it.

A Volkswagen van is standing on top of Pattaya Hill .... here you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee (many variants) and in the meantime get a breath of fresh air at a table and enjoy the view.
During the weekend also crowded by the Thai population…..so wait a little longer for your coffee.
Have fun….Joop
At the Big Buda hill you can go back 20 meters from the stairs to the right, there is a park where the history of Siam is told and depicted. At the height of the big bell you have a beautiful view of Pattaya and you can also eat and drink at the restaurant.
I have done it with a bicycle a few times, but it is recommended for people who are too steep for it
take the scooter with car not so nice view in descent back have good brakes but a beautiful view.
Indeed a beautiful view, but please note that you do not lock the car with the remote control. It is also indicated, by the way. We got the car open with the key, but we had to push it away a bit to get it to work. there huge cell towers that will upset your electronics of the car
So don't stay there too long because of the large magnetic field of the transmitter.
A little further away, more to the north, I came across a glass bridge at the end of last year.
A new attraction.
You must have a reasonable condition, the walk up is still a tough one.
At the top then pay to be allowed to cross and on the other side the descent.
Can't remember what I paid.
