Last Monday it was a Buddha Day, which caused quite a bit of confusion for (new) tourists, because all bars were closed on that day. Granted, for most people it wouldn't have been a big problem, but when you're on vacation it can certainly become a source of frustration.
To further develop Thailand's economy, the country must transform from an industrial nation into a trading nation. The national think tank TDRI says that this is possible, although a lot still needs to change. For example, hundreds of laws must be changed in the areas of taxation, investment policy and international trade promotion.
New Breastfeeding Promotion Law in Thailand
Breastfeeding is much better for babies than bottle feeding. The Ministry of Health has therefore introduced a law that limits the amount of advertising for bottle feeding.
