Reader submission: Warning after high water consumption, have your water meter calibrated!
Because the water consumption in our condominium complex was high (1500m3), I indicated to calibrate the water meter, which was now 20 years old.
Waterworks charges 1.000 baht for this. What turned out to be a deviation of 30%! In our case, we paid 115.000 baht too much over the past year alone.
My water meter runs at the most unusual times. If I don't ask for water, it still runs. If I close the tap behind the meter, it slows down but does not stop. The man who takes the meter reading shrugs his shoulders, it's just water after all.
