In my opinion, a special temple that is much less known to the average Chiang Rai visitor is the Blue Temple, or Wat Rong Sue Ten. It only opened in 2016. The complex is (and will remain) a lot smaller than the White Temple, and the main color is – you guessed it – a beautiful blue.
