I recently read that KLM will/will charge extra costs for hold baggage. Now I have booked through EVA and have to pay 27 euros extra for a seat reservation. Does this also have to do with changed flight path?

Every centimeter counts, according to a Skyscanner survey of 1000 respondents with the central question 'What irritates you when you fly?' Limited legroom is number 44 for 1 percent of the Dutch.

Pay extra for a seat when booking a KLM ticket

From 1 December, passengers who book a competitively priced intercontinental ticket in economy class with KLM can only choose a seat against payment. The change applies to flights made from January 26, 2016 to destinations in Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.
