The application for a so-called COVID-19 extension was again extended until September 27, 2021. This means that immigration officers may allow an extension of the period of stay of 60 days instead of 30 days. In principle, this means that you could then stay until November 26, 2021 if you still request the extension on September 27, 2021.

Currently, only a NON-Immigrant – O (Thai marriage) visa with single entry is issued by the Thai embassy/consulate, which implies that we only have 90 days to extend my visa for 1 year. However, upon entry into Thailand, if vaccinated, a quarantine period of 7 days is still imposed.

I am currently residing in Thailand on a so-called “retirement visa”, applied for an annual extension with my Non-Immigrant 'O-A' visa obtained at the Thai Embassy in Brussels. I am now married and would therefore like to opt for “marriage visa” in the future. Questioner: Rudolf I have a difference of opinion with my Thai wife. My Dutch brother-in-law has been living in Thailand (Kantang) with my sister-in-law for about 8 years on the basis of marriage. I have a Non Immigrant O and just obtained another one year extension in Chiang Mai. Do that with the combination method (visa support letter). AOW + pension about bht 530.000 and bht 300.000 on BKK bank. And that bht 300.000 should remain on it, which has been confirmed by Immigration CM. If I marry, that amount will be bht 400.000 instead of 800.000. With my AOW I already have that amount or does there still have to be a certain amount in your bank account, do you know that?
