My flight from BKK to Brussels was canceled on April 13 due to corona. For the time being I can only set a date with Thai Airways again in May. Problem is my 6 month tourist visa, multiple entry, expires on April 15th. I normally have to leave Thailand that day at the latest. But as you know, most borders are also closed, I can't go anywhere.
It now seems that immigration will allow an extension of the period of stay of 30 days each time. For now I only have the link to ThaiVisa. There you can read or download the relevant document.
Many Dutch people have a visa in Thailand that requires them to leave the country every three months. That's getting harder now. I think that information about how and where this can still be done is very useful. If entering and exiting becomes impossible, can people go to immigration?
I have a 1 year multiple Non-B visa. I have to leave the country every 90 days, when I return to the airport in Bangkok I get another 90 days. I have to leave the country before April 1. I am thinking of flying soon to Phnom Penh or Vientiane to stay there for 1 night and then back again or can I get the 90 days at the immigration office due to these circumstances? Everything is changing so fast right now.
Thailand visa question No. 024/20: Extension of stay obtained with a Non-immigrant OA
Visa OA from wife and myself (both Belgian) was valid until August 2019. So before August 2020 I will have to change our visa OA to a long-term residence permit based on retirement (I will turn 65 in June) and my wife would receive a year extension as my lawful wife.
On 05-11-2019 at the Changmai emigration office, I had my year visa extended. Had with me, income statement from the Dutch embassy + all copies of my passport. Had to sign 2 more forms, they also calculated whether it was sufficient. Then photo taken by them. Waited about 1 hour and was able to collect my passport. Was there at 09.45:11.15 am and at XNUMX:XNUMX am I was out again.
