Is smoking prohibited in Thailand?
I'm an inveterate smoker, yes I know... not good, etc. I don't deny that it's bad either, but I can't seem to quit. Now I'm going to Thailand with a few friends for the first time. Now I have already found out that you are not allowed to smoke on the beach in Thailand. But what about next?
In Thailand it is no longer allowed to smoke indoors if the habit, through second-hand smoke, has a negative effect on other members of the family. The ban is part of the Act on Promotion of the Family Institute Development and Protection, which goes into effect on August 20.
