At the front of our house we have an existing terrace that we would have liked to have made a bit bigger. A local contractor was approached, the price agreed and they started yesterday. The soil was dug up neatly and mechanically dammed. Installed some formwork boards, so far no problem.

Most expats in Thailand will sometimes need Thai for home repairs or maintenance. Whether it concerns air conditioning or a water pipe or garden maintenance. Basically it doesn't matter much, but there are some nice similarities. Usually they arrive reasonably on time, except for the bunglers, who can't distinguish a hammer from a pair of pliers and don't appear anymore.

We want to make a bathroom that is completely outdated completely new. We are looking for a professional who can install the toilet, install a shower, connect hot water, lay the floor, fix the ceiling and tile the whole.
Thailand is short of well-trained professionals
Thailand will have to bring foreign workers to the country in the near future, because it is not possible to find enough well-trained professionals in Thailand itself. According to a recent ONESQA statistic, only 20.000 skilled workers leave school, while industry needs 180.000 skilled workers each year.
