How does my niece get a Thai passport?
This question is actually for the embassy, but given the crowds there I will try it first here on this beautiful blog. My Thai sister-in-law is divorced and has a 14-year-old daughter from her Dutch husband who lives with her in the Netherlands.
Thailand question: traveling to Thailand with an expired Thai passport?
Does anyone have experience with an expired Thai passport but with a valid Thai ID card and Dutch passport to travel into Thailand with a one way ticket?
Together with my Thai wife and son we have been living in Thailand for almost 3 years now. My son was born in the Netherlands and has had a Thai passport for 3 years now. In 1,5 years he will be 18 years old, will he have to choose between his Dutch or Thai passport?
My 16-year-old son has to renew his Dutch passport in a month. In 2018 he also received a Thai passport in The Hague. The passport application form asks for foreign passports and nationalities. My son now has Dutch and Thai nationality.

A while ago I read somewhere that the Thai passport, which was always valid for 5 years, is now also valid for 10 years. On telephone inquiry at the Thai consulate in Munich, the lady could not tell me anything about the possibility of this new 10-year valid passport.

Can you detect whether someone is a ladyboy by means of the Thai passport? Is the gender mentioned on the Thai passport? I presume the gender on the passport will remain unchanged or is there a possibility that they will change that as well?

My daughter's Thai passport expires at the beginning of 2021. The problem is that her mother is in Korea and therefore cannot be present at the application. I read confusing reports about whether or not both parents must be present.
My wife has Belgian and Thai nationality. She uses her Thai last name almost everywhere, but when we got married in Thailand, her last name was changed to mine, so that her passport, ID card and driver's license were made out on my last name. Soon she will go to Thailand and during this stay she wants, and I support her, to transfer everything back to her last name. Her passport and driver's license are about to expire.

I have been married to a Thai woman for 20 years. We have 2 daughters 14 and 20 years old, they both have a Dutch passport. Is it still possible that they can also apply for a Thai passport at the embassy in The Hague?
I am going on vacation to Thailand tomorrow with my Thai wife. When checking in online, I saw that my wife's passport is still valid for 6 months and 2 weeks. We will stay in Thailand for 1 month. This means that when we come back her passport will be valid for 5 months and 2 weeks. She has an MVV visa. Is this going to be a problem?

I would come back to what I asked earlier on the blog: “Does anyone know if you can travel to Thailand and back with a valid Thai passport and a valid Dutch ID”.
My sister-in-law wants to come to the Netherlands on holiday and has applied for a new passport in Thailand and went to the Dutch embassy in Bangkok with this new passport. There she was told that the passport must be at least six months old to be eligible for a visa.

I am currently trying to find out if a combination with a Thai passport and a valid Dutch identity card is required when booking. And whether this possibility is there to be able to travel from the Netherlands to Thailand and enter the Netherlands again with an identity card, you enter the EU.
Which passport to use when traveling to Thailand?
My Thai wife currently has 2 passports, one Thai and one Dutch. We do not agree with each other about which passport to use where. My opinion: at Schiphol on departure your Dutch passport, on arrival in Bangkok your Thai passport. Your Thai passport on departure from Thailand in Bangkok and your Dutch passport on arrival in the Netherlands at Schiphol. Is this the right way or is another way better?
I want to go to Thailand for 40 days. My wife is Thai and has two passports. Our daughter was born in the Netherlands but also has a Thai passport. I assume she also has Thai nationality? So I need a visa, but my wife and child don't I assume? So the question is what about the passports at the airports? Also on the intermediate stop. Which passport should they show?
