I have always been taught that the combination of water and electricity does not go well together, in Thailand people look at it differently, as it turns out.
More risk of legionella after returning from holiday
Returning holidaymakers run an increased risk of a legionella infection in their own home. Many people fail to appreciate the dangers of faucets that are not used for more than a week. According to Techniek Nederland, this means that many legionella infections occur unnecessarily after the holiday and has listed a number of tips to prevent contamination.
During our travels in Thailand, we used the showers in the guesthouses and therefore also became acquainted with the electric heating boilers that are open and exposed in the showers. These boilers provide sufficient hot water. Does anyone know if such electric boilers are also available in Belgium or the Netherlands?
