Where are you not allowed to smoke in Thailand?
I want to go on holiday to Thailand with a friend in April. But now I saw that you are not allowed to smoke everywhere. Like where is that not allowed? Because I don't want to get in trouble for smoking a nice cigarette, and I get arrested. I read somewhere that you also have to go to jail for a year? Now that is quite worrying.
Smoking in Amazing Thailand
I know it's an unhealthy habit, but I've been smoking for years and feel good about it. In the Netherlands I mainly smoked Samson or Drum shag. Cigarettes were too expensive.

Guilt
The Inquisitor falls prey to guilt. He may be coming to an age of “everything was better in the old days”, but still. The media discourages him. They are full of warnings, dire tidings and more – about whatever you do, eat or drink. Even on Thailandblog.
According to health minister Piyasakol, 50.000 Thai people die every year from the consequences of smoking. That will cost the country 74,8 billion baht. one more reason to amend the tobacco law of 1992, for example today the minimum age for buying tobacco products is raised to 20 years.
Fewer Dutch people smoke, but there is a big difference between the highly educated and the lower educated
Fewer and fewer people smoke, but the differences in smoking behavior between people with different levels of education are increasing. Smokers and weirdos

I always read that you can buy practically anything in Thailand. I recognize that it is a bad habit, but as an avid smoker of heavy Van Nelle shag I wonder if I should take 3 cartons in my luggage or if I can get this (preferably cheap and easy) in Thailand?
