It may look a bit strange, but the hairy red skin of the rambutan (rambutan) hides a juicy, sweet-tasting fruit that is rich in vitamin C. In Thailand, this special fruit is called: ngaw or ngoh.

It is often said that there are no seasons in the tropics. Mieke already disproved that idea in one of her blogs. I dare say that there are no longer seasons in the Netherlands. I do not use the weather as a criterion, but the availability of seasonal fruit and vegetables. In the Netherlands, everything is available all year round. With the exception of asparagus, I wanted to add, but if you really want you can also buy it somewhere at Christmas.
