Is it possible to send corona rapid tests to Thailand with Postnl? As far as we know, the rapid test is not yet available in Thailand.
Some time ago I asked where you could buy Nespresso coffee capsules for a normal price in Pattaya. I got a number of comments from readers on that, thanks for that. Nevertheless, I decided to send a package with coffee cups from the Netherlands to Thailand. I want to share my experiences with you.
Cigars by PostNL from the Netherlands to Thailand
You probably remember that I am an avid cigar smoker. I smoke an affordable cigar, which I have been buying for many years in a specialist cigar shop in Alkmaar. Since I live in Thailand, the cigars are still bought at the same place. They are taken for me by a selection of people who (regularly) come to Thailand. Over the years I have built up a nice network of “couriers”.
I sent a package with PostNL to Thailand/Pattaya on May 1, 2020 (with track and trace). PostNL claims it was sent to Thailand on the 8th. In Thailand they say that the package is still in the Netherlands. Does anyone have experience with this?
Reader's submission: Registered letter parcel from Thailand delivered as a regular letter
A few days ago, a package of letters from Thailand arrived in our mailbox. That parcel was sent by registered mail from Udon Thani. The shipment contained valuable documents for us. Thai ID card and debit card of my Thai wife, bank book of the Bangkok Bank, etc. We found it strange that we (the recipients) did not have to sign for receipt and that we did not have to identify ourselves, but that the shipment was sent as an ordinary letter dropped in our mailbox.
Traveling to the airport without that annoying suitcase is no longer a thing of the future. PostNL has, without giving much publicity, started a trial in the Randstad conurbation with the delivery of travelers' suitcases at Dutch airports.
