Chuwit Kamolvisit, pimp, politician and populist
Chuwit Kamolvisit, once a prominent figure in Thailand's sex industry, is now a whistleblower fighting corruption. Once known as a 'super pimp', he owned six massage parlors in Bangkok, bribing authorities to ignore his illegal activities. After his 2003 arrest and loss of police protection, he unveiled a list of bribed officers, which brought him national fame. Now faced with liver cancer, he reflects on his life full of mistakes.
Pimp Chuwit leaves politics
Pimp and politician Chuwit Kamolvisit (55) is free again after 11 months in detention. He owes his early release to the amnesty he received from the new king. He has already announced that he will leave politics.
