Chiang Mai, the special city in the north of the country, is 700 kilometers, about 1 hour flight from the capital Bangkok. Several airlines offer daily flights. Chiang Mai can also be reached by train; preferably take the night train from the Hua Lamphong station in Bangkok (travel time approx. 12 hours) and discover this special city and the beautiful surroundings.
