The new passenger terminal at Mae Sot (Tak) Airport is expected to open at the end of this year. The focus is clearly on growth, because the new terminal can handle 1,7 million passengers per year, the current terminal 'only' 400.000 passengers.

Every month, twenty children from Myanmar cross the border in search of work. They end up in tea houses, restaurants, massage parlours, karaoke bars and brothels; both in the big city and in the countryside. Usually underpaid, many are also mistreated.

Jacques and Soj Koppert (in their own car) make a visa run to Mae Sot. On the Rim Moei market, Soj is having a bad time. Jacques buys a few T-shirts with mountain bikes on them at the Bhumibol dam. That gives a sporty feeling.
