Superstition is deeply rooted in many Thai people. Poet Phra Suthorn Vohara (Sunthom Phu) dedicated a poem to it in which a warrior threatened to be poisoned by his pregnant wife. The man named the ghost Kuman Thong, which means "Golden Child".
