After years I went back to the coast, encouraged by an old friend whom I might see for the last time. Pattaya and Jomtien still have their charm, but the unprecedented building frenzy and the polluted seawater surprise me. Between culinary surprises, sunscreenless tourists and nostalgic stories, this became a week full of surprises and a touch of melancholy.

Jomtien, parking ban is causing trouble

For the number lovers, there are 429 masseuses at work on the Jomtien beach. However, the city council wants to reduce this number and set clear rules for those who are still allowed to carry out this work.
