When I stay in Thailand (Beach Road Jomtien) I open the laptop for wireless wifi networks. At the top of the list of networks was always MyCyberpoint.com. I bought a prepaid card for a month at the reception of the building, with a login and password on it. Incredibly good speeds with that provider! I heard yesterday that the MyCyberpoint site is no longer available and now I have a problem.

Have you booked your trip to Thailand? Then of course you make sure that your suitcase is packed, your visa is arranged and you already have your tickets ready. But you can also prepare your trip to Thailand in terms of cyber security. It is a good idea to install a VPN in advance.

I am now 3 months in Thailand for the 4rd winter in a row and have an internet connection here through TOT/Cat National Telecom Public Company Limited. 400Mb / 700 bht per month. This to everyone's satisfaction, good connections and fast. I can watch Netflix from NL and other TV channels via my Delta/TV APP. I can view my camera system in my home in NL.

I wonder if there are also readers who have had to deal with a slow internet via their smartphone (Android or Apple) in recent weeks with the sites in the Netherlands or other European countries? It is therefore not about the normal internet, but especially about apps such as apps from banks and apps from news sites, such as AD and / or others.

I have been using 3BB (adsl / vdsl) as an internet provider for a few years with the router Huawei provided by them. This only has the 2.4 Ghz frequency. I'm thinking about buying myself a router that has dual frequencies 2,4 and 5 Ghz. Does anyone have experience with whether this will cause problems?

I need advice about the internet provider. I now have TOT and am dissatisfied with the expertise and service. The internet connection is also regularly broken. Downloading torrents and nzb's goes well, speeds up to 6mb/sec. This is not the real problem.

Since a few months we have internet from TOT. I have not opted for the cheapest connection and pay 524 Baht per month. I am not satisfied because the connection during the day is very bad. I wonder if I'm the only one?

Does anyone know of unlimited internet (no limit) via SIM card at a decent speed? I have had unlimited internet from True Move when buying a new SIM card (3 month no limit), but the unlimited internet cannot be extended. So I fall back on the normal packages that are offered, these are not sufficient because after a few GB I fall back on a very slow download speed.

Plans to upgrade the internet speed in Pattaya to 5G, the abbreviation for the 5th generation, has sparked a storm of criticism towards Pattaya's mayor Sontaya Khunpluem. There were even plans to equip the Pattaya Beach with 5G cell towers.

Recently in the news is the possible demise of the oldest travel agency in Europe, Thomas Cook. The group has been losing millions, if not billions, for years and is now making frantic attempts to sell parts of the sizeable company. Thomas Cook's shares on the London Stock Exchange are barely worth anything.

My question is addressed to Dutch people, who spend several months in Thailand (or elsewhere) every year, but keep their registration and accommodation in NL. I, living/registered in NL, go to my wife in Thailand for several months each year. During that period I will therefore not use my Dutch internet and TV, but will continue to pay the subscription costs for this because it concerns annual contracts. So I have to keep paying for a service I don't use. And that can add up.

At the end of this month we will move to another province. We currently have internet via TOT with monthly payment on the 22nd of the month and wish to keep TOT. How should I proceed to continue my connection at our new address? Or do I have to cancel my current contract and enter into a new contract locally?

Are there any computer specialists here on this forum? I have a problem and hence maybe a solution from one of the members? I regularly watch NLTV.asia, but the connection regularly drops and then I can no longer surf the net. The internet connection is still present, then I shut down my computer and restart it, I have a connection again and I can surf and watch NLTV again for a while, until it fails again.

Just a quick question from a computer geek. In January 2020 I hope to have emigrated to Chiang Mai. In the Netherlands I have a fixed internet connection from Ziggo. The apartment I expect to rent in Chiang Mai does not have internet. So I will have to take care of that myself. Does Thailand also know the term “fixed internet connection” and if so, from which company can I order it? And then people come to my house to set up a box (as with KPN and Ziggo).
