Sunday May 23 arrived in Bangkok for the 2nd time since Covid-19. Partly because of the discussion regarding health insurance, I would like to share my experiences during the access process.

I booked a trip to Phuket on December 13th to January 4th. If all goes well, Phuket will be open to tourists with vaccination certificate (this applies to me). My outward journey goes via Bangkok (from Amsterdam) and then on with Bangkokair to Phuket. Now I have heard that you are not allowed to fly straight away and therefore still have to be quarantined in Bangkok, even if you have been vaccinated.

The situation with adults towards Thailand is (occasionally) clear. But what about children? Do they have to be vaccinated or not and from what age? I don't read anything about this in the Thai media.

As of today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will again issue normal travel advice per country. Until May 15, the entire world was color coded orange because of the pandemic. Thailand is one of the few distant destinations that has gone from travel advice orange to yellow today.

Following on from the question which insurance company issues the requested 100.000/50.000 euro statement. When searching, however, I saw that a number of major airlines offer this insurance free of charge as a service. For example, Emirates and Etihad. Of course I don't know how Thai immigration handles this?

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, the advisory body to the government, today introduced a series of tightened measures that also affect foreigners who want to travel to Thailand. Yellow vaccination booklet. Read several times that you can have the vaccination against Covid 19 added to your yellow vaccination booklet. Received the first shot today, after my question at the shot location if they want to register the shot in my yellow vaccination booklet, I was told that they are NOT allowed to do that. I had to stick the sticker on which my vaccination is written in the booklet.

Anyone who is fully vaccinated against corona and wants to travel to Thailand can now use a new information platform from the TAT.
