The teak forests in Thailand extend over large areas in the north along the border with Myanmar (Burma). Of course, the teak tree knows no border, so Myanmar also has an immense area of teak forests.
Ministry wants to reclaim 1,6 million rai of illegal land
In Thailand, many illegal structures are built on stolen land. On the islands alone, 1,6 million rai of land is said to be illegally used. This almost always concerns bungalow parks that have been built on government grounds.

Environmental report Thailand paints a gloomy picture
