Question to general practitioner Maarten: Do I have to have a heart catheterization performed?
Recent cardiac examination following the skipping. That passed again. But the CT showed that my cholesterol was too high (LDL 3,8). In addition, a narrowed coronary artery. Doctor prescribes statins against cholesterol and blood thinners, aspirin (which I already use preventively) and clopidogrel.
About 8 months ago I had some stomach problems, a lot of belching, feeling full and air in the esophagus that made swallowing difficult. Sometimes also violent shocks at the stomach entrance. Test indicated reflux, but I don't have an acid problem. But a more difficult phenomenon is as soon as I eat or drink something, I get heart rhythm disturbances a minute later.
Received an ablation twice in a year and a half due to cardiac arrhythmias in the Middelheim hospital. No for that Xarelto of 20 once a day. Have stock through February. I don't know if I can return if I travel to Belgium. is there a substitute for Xarelto here? Xarelto is available here but very expensive. What do you propose?
I wrote about my arrhythmias before and got your anticoagulant advice. Now I went to the hospital here in the village to discuss measuring the INR values. That was not a success. The only thing they can and understand is the percentage of red blood cells. The INR card with the readings I showed was completely unknown.

Question to general practitioner Maarten: New technique for patients with cardiac arrhythmias
I recently received the Bumrungrad newsletter containing an article about Cardioinsight. A technique with CT scan and a cardio vest that would provide much more information and better coordinated medication for the treatment of arrhythmia. Now I have, so I'm interested.
I am 76 years old and have been on medication for arrythmia for 15 years. First Tambocor prescribed by a Dutch cardiologist and since 3 years 5 mg Concor per day after an ultrasound check in the Bangkok hospital.
