Director Ticha of Ban Kanchanapisek Vocational Juvenile Training Center for Boys, during a meeting yesterday about the ongoing fighting between vocational students, appealed to the media not to pay too much attention to the fighting as criminal gangs try to recruit new members on schools.
The Bangkok Post today published an opinion piece about student violence between rival schools. In Bangkok alone, ten students were killed in 2014 fights in 157. At least 75 people were seriously injured.
How do you correct fighters?
Sending students to a recruit camp and rejecting new students with tattoos and piercings. This is how the Thai authorities think they can tackle the violence between students.
